This article from The Intercept details the apartheid state of Israel’s bottomless propaganda campaign aimed at dehumanizing Palestinians. Since well before October 7 and long before the attacks from Hamas, the apartheid state has made a habit of flooding the public discourse on Gaza with an endless stream of false, unsubstantiated, and unverifiable allegations. These allegations are occasionally revealed for what they truly are, outright lies and misdirection intended to make the cause of Palestinian liberation appear unjustified. None of us are immune to the propaganda, we can only learn how to avoid falling for the lies.
“Just as the Bush administration exploited the 9/11 attacks to justify a sweeping war in which it declared the world a battlefield, Netanyahu is using the horrors of October 7 to wage the crusade he’s been preparing for his entire political career. With his grip on power fading last fall, the October 7 attacks provided him with just the opportunity he needed, and he hitched his political survival to the war on Gaza and what could be his last chance to eliminate Israel’s Palestinian problem once for all.”
As the death toll in Gaza climbs over a conservative estimate of 27,000 Palestinian lives, so many of the core narratives used by the Israeli and American governments to justify the endless slaughter are coming apart under the slightest scrutiny. Some of these Israeli lies have been definitively debunked, like the 40 beheaded babies, while others are still open to investigation, like how exactly Hamas fighters were able to kill such large numbers of Israelis while living under the repressive and watchful eyes of the IDF, Mossad, and other Israeli security forces.

Saving A Life: This video from The New Yorker tells the remarkable story of Richard “Mac” McKinney, a white man in Muncie, IN who went from killing and demonizing Muslims to literally becoming one. I was wary watching this video at first, uncertain of where it was headed, but after giving it a chance, it truly warmed my heart to see how a small Muslim community can come together and embrace those curious to learn more about the faith. Give it a watch, perhaps it’ll help warm your cold heart as it did mine
Dead Solo Cup: Country singer Toby Keith died earlier this week from stomach cancer. Anyting I can say is dwarfed by what Twitter user johnsemley3000 had to say; “Whenever a major country artist of the last 25 years dies, the mood is always “RIP to this virulent xenophobe, racist and pandering patriot whose tune ‘Beer (I Like To Drink It)’ is no doubt a banger.” In Toby’s case, the song is apparently titled “Beer for my horses”, so not far off the mark
Ordinary Man: This biography review of Elon Musk’s forthcoming book written by Walter Isaacson is equal parts scathingly critical and hilariously accurate. The author does an excellent job describing the mass delusion we as a society have fallen into by believing that wealthy scammers like Mr. Musk will somehow save us
