Halloween is canceled this year on account of the real horrors
The apartheid state of Israel is setting world records and making a case for the forcible transfer of a million people, all in a matter of weeks!
In the past three weeks, 3,600+ children have been killed in Gaza, along with an additional 29 in Israel. According to Save The Children, the number of kids killed in Gaza in the past 25 days has surpassed the annual number of children killed across the world's conflict zones since 2019. This surely places the apartheid state as the number one child killer on the planet, not the most honorable distinction, but a title they have undoubtedly earned.
The situation on the ground in Gaza is unimaginable in its horror. Interviews with Gazans or people with family in Gaza paint a vivid picture of an apocalyptic deathtrap. Food is running out, clean water is growing more precious by the minute, kids are having limbs amputated without anesthesia, death is everywhere. I don’t mention these details to be needlessly gruesome or dramatic, but to remind myself what we’re putting people through.
The Israeli culture magazine Mekovit published on October 28th a leaked document issued by Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence recommending the military occupation of Gaza and total transfer of its 2.3 million inhabitants to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula. The verified document suggests that forcibly displacing Gazan civilians to Egypt would "yield positive and long term strategic results", envisioning a three-stage process including the establishment of tent cities in Sinai and opening of a humanitarian corridor, followed by construction of cities in northern Sinai from which there would predictably be no right of return.
The document calls for the international community to be rallied in support of the move, and the white house has certainly done its part to make sympathizing with Palestine an unappealing position. The white house press secretary compared “anti-Israel protesters” — a specific phrase used by the Fox News reporter in his question — to the white supremacists who marched in Charlottesville a few years ago. Somehow the tiki-torch carrying, cargo pants-wearing white guys shouting, “Jews will not replace us” have been deemed equal to the people and families of every race and background, marching for Palestinian liberation. That this comparison comes in the days prior to a national march for Palestine in Washington only further illustrates how the white house has chosen to frame those fighting against further violence.
The leaked document also suggests promoting a dedicated campaign for the residents of Gaza that will "motivate them to agree to the plan", which I can only imagine is what’s taking place now. It’s truly wild how calling for a ceasefire now is some kind of radical and controversial demand. It’s astounding what the political landscape looks like after just a few weeks. There isn’t even the pretense of interest in humanitarianism or justice, just endless support for mass killing from every western politician and news outlet.
As bombs continue to fall day and night on Gaza, one thing that still confuses me is the rhetoric implying that being in favor of a ceasefire somehow means not caring about the hostages? How exactly is supporting the continued indiscriminate bombing of a region where hostages are being held in the best interest of the hostages/their families? If anything, I think it could be argued that it’s antisemitic NOT to call a ceasefire and rescue these precious hostages. Something tells me this line of thinking doesn’t resonate in Washington.
German propaganda justifying the genocide of Jewish people parallels Israeli propaganda against Palestinians, learning from the past.
