(We now take a break from our regular daily coverage to enjoy a pause in the ongoing genocide of the indigenous people of Palestine, so we can enjoy and celebrate a holiday that is also based on a genocide of the indigenous people of the US)
Don’t worry pals, whatever this recently brokered ‘ceasefire’ winds up looking like, we won’t know until tomorrow at the earliest. The Israeli National Security Council announced that no hostages would be released before tomorrow, and the start of the agreed temporary truce in genocide is also delayed until tomorrow by the apartheid state. I can’t imagine the pattern of widespread and indiscriminate violence will actually subside for the four or five days claimed.
This article provides great background on the Israeli practice of administrative detention, a vile legislative process that allows Israel to jail Palestinians indefinitely without charge or trial and conveniently able to exchange them in the event of hostages being taken. The author includes details on Palestinian prisoners and the apartheid state’s unlawful detention practices, including the severe restrictions of civil rights, crackdowns on speech and dissent, sham trials, and the run-of-the-mill torture of course.
A quick update on former Obama advisor/human scum Stuart Seldowitz; the guy earned himself a visit from the police and was taken into custody yesterday on one count of aggravated harassment of race or religion and four counts of stalking as a hate crime for taking on the halal cart guy. All of these charges may be considered misdemeanors, but something tells me the worst is yet to come for Stuart. Moral of that story, don’t ever be mean to the people serving you food.
But Seldowitz and his racism are no anomaly when it comes to the American political approach and meddling in the affairs of the Middle East. This is an excellent interview with Maryland senator Ben Cardin, a democrat who is the chair of the senate Foreign Relations Committee that presents a real window into the absolute lack of morality and basic logic by democratic party elected officials when it comes to anything Gaza-related. It’s like most of these old folks are allergic to basic reasoning of any kind, or opening their eyes to the reality of what’s happening every day. Instead they choose to occupy a fantasy world where an apartheid state can have endless permission to “defend itself” however they see fit, and a two-state solution is always just around the corner.
In related news, Hill Harper, a senate candidate in Michigan, admitted publicly yesterday that one of AIPAC’s biggest donors, Linden Nelson (a businessman from Michigan) called him to offer $20 million in campaign contributions if he agreed to drop out of the senate race and instead run a primary challenge to Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian in congress. This is Tlaib’s reward for speaking up about the ethnic cleansing of her people. The targeting of anyone willing to speak up for Palestine is nothing new and will not be going away anytime soon. Saying that zionists have disproportionate influence over American politics isn’t really antisemitic at all given that the majority of zionists, including the ones in elected office, aren’t Jewish.

Fast & Furious: A car flew/crashed into the checkpoint at the US - Canadian border yesterday in Niagara Falls, killing both people inside the car. I can’t be certain of the details of this particular situation, but I’ve seen a similar situation play out with Dom Torreto before, so there’s a chance a massive government conspiracy is about to be revealed.
