Thursday, June 22: Another Violent Rampage
Apartheid Israel's illegal settlers are back at it again
Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed into the Palestinian town of Turmusaya in the occupied West Bank yesterday, setting fire to dozens of cars and homes and generally causing destruction and mayhem. Apartheid-defenders claim these attacks were in response to the deaths of four Israelis killed earlier this week. Residents in Turmusaya said about 400 settlers marched down the town’s main road, setting fire indiscriminately to cars, homes and trees.
Palestinian residents and human rights groups have often complained about Israel’s refusal to deter settler violence, as soldiers stood by protecting them. Instead, these proud apartheid advocates were complicit on the scene, turning their guns on Palestinian residents instead of the vandals marching into the town with guns and firebombs and setting fire to everything in their path.
Yesterday’s settler rampage came as the Israeli military deployed additional forces in the occupied West Bank, and prime minister/supreme scumbag Benny Netanyahu announced plans to illegally build 1,000 new settler homes in response to the deadly shooting. Meanwhile, the “world’s most moral military” condemned the destruction of property, saying that settler violence prevents them from carrying out their “main mission” of ‘protecting national security and battling militants’ (terrorizing children and murdering innocent civilians).

Real Life Heroes: While the world waits to see whether or not five people with more money than common sense have succumbed to Davy Jones’ locker, there are actual heroes among us who refuse to stand by and watch as desperate migrants drown in the Mediterranean. What’s their reward for trying to save lives? The possibility of two decades behind bars
Titanic Conclusion: As the clock continues to tick and hope of finding survivors continues to dwindle, it appears the submersible saga is finally, thankfully, coming to a close. Overnight, the US and Canada mobilized resources and scoured an area twice the size of the state of Connecticut and to a depth of two and a half miles deep in the ocean. It’s remarkable the effort that governments will go to for the sake of a wealthy few. Not to let a good tragedy go to waste, a documentary is already slated to be shown on British TV tonight detailing the wider context of the fiasco. If you’re one of those people who believes the poor souls aboard the submersible are still alive, it’s estimated that the oxygen in the craft will run out later this morning. Personally I’m of the mind that they already perished days ago, likely in a near-instant crush of underwater pressure. Anyways, time for people to find a new story to fixate on
More Supreme Court Corruption: Our blessed brethren (sisthren?) at ProPublica have dropped another heater, this time exposing supreme court justice Sammy Boy Alito and his cozy relationship with a billionaire republican mega-donor. It’s nice to know that the highest court in this country is completely unfamiliar with the concept of conflict of interest and always reassuring to remember that those in power have been bought and paid for by wealthy self-interested bozos
