Mark your calendars folks! Tomorrow we officially find out whether genocide is something our government is prepared to overlook and fund, or if the global outrage against the actions of an apartheid state is enough to save lives. The International Court of Justice will deliver its ruling on the provisional measures requested by South Africa against Israel tomorrow morning.
While we wait for an official ruling, the violence continues without pause. There are reports today that the military of the apartheid state opened fire on thousands of Palestinians waiting desperately for humanitarian aid in eastern Gaza. At least 20 civilians were reportedly killed and many dozens of victims remain in the area of the massacre. As if it wasn’t enough for Israeli’s to block the border or protest the little humanitarian aid allowed to flow into Gaza, now they’ve taken it a step further and are murdering people starved for months.
Meanwhile, Hilary Clinton was shaken awake from her deep slumber of political hibernation and irrelevance to express her sorrow and outrage that the Barbie movie didn’t receive enough adoration from the Academy Awards this season. I swear I’ve seen more politicians and celebrities speak out against the treatment of the Barbie movie than speaking out against the genocide in Gaza or anyone getting fired or ostracized for protesting said genocide. It’s a perfect encapsulation of the type of white feminism that Clinton proudly embodies.
We live in a world where "women using tents as pads during genocide" was less of a feminist issue than "white lady pretending to be doll not considered great actress this year".

Gold Mine Collapse: An unregulated gold mine collapsed late last week in the Kangaba district in the southwestern Koulikoro region of Mali, killing more than 70 people. A search continues as many fear that the death toll could still rise
American Mercenaries in Yemen: I highly recommend this BBC documentary, telling the story of UAE’s authoritarian rulers and their decision to hire psychotic killers like Dale Comstock, Isaac Gilmore, and other former American ‘special operators’ to target and murder their political opponents in Yemen. It might seem like something out of a comic book or some wild conspiracy theory, but it’s all right there, out in the open for us to see
Muslim in Name Only: Saudi Arabia recently opened its first liquor store in over 70 years as an established kingdom, further eroding any sense of being an Islamic nation. The shop is restricted to non-Muslim diplomats, but the store in Riyadh is a direct result of Saudi Arabia’s ruling Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (the bonesaw enthusiast) efforts to turn the kingdom into a tourism and business destination. I’m sure it’ll be just a matter of time before the kingdom starts selling special licenses for celebrities and other high-net-worth individuals to flaunt the rules of the so-called Islamic republic
