I’m a fiend for rage and disappointment, and there’s no shortage of either right now.
We’re 150 days into witnessing a genocide in Gaza, with no end in sight. The days became weeks, and the weeks turned into months, and the only constants are destruction and cowardice by the world’s leaders. The western media have maintained their complicity with endless passive voice descriptions of Israeli war crimes and linguistic gymnastics to ensure that the apartheid regime remains beyond reproach. Mass murder somehow becomes a “chaotic incident”, and targeting starving civilians is reframed as a “stampede for aid”. I’d say the Biden administration has completely given up, but that would imply they did anything but aid and abet and justify this genocide from the jump.
Last week, in an obvious attempt to avoid continuously being called murderers, the Biden administration decided that the best method of helping out is not to stop shipping artillery and bombs to the apartheid regime, but rather to air-drop humanitarian aid into Gaza. This is a territory besieged by the US’s closest ally and number one financial charity case, but instead of demanding or even ~politely asking~ the genocidal Israeli leadership to stop blocking the flow of critical aid to hundreds of thousands of starving Palestinians, this country’s leaders have chosen to parachute in a few crates of supplies. Cowardly and complicit doesn’t begin to describe Biden’s leadership strategy. His legacy will forever be bloodstained and his memory will be cursed similar to his murderous predecessors.
American military planes began the first airdrops of thousands of meals into Gaza last week, as the militaries of Jordan and Egypt chose to conduct similar airdrops. Yet humanitarian organizations and aid groups have continued to emphasize that airdrops should only be used as a last resort and have urged the opening of border crossings into Gaza and the removal of any obstacles at the few that are open. Mind you the obstacles in question are things like inflatable bouncy castles erected by maniacal Israelis hell-bent on collectively punishing the starving Palestinians in Gaza. The wealthiest nation on the planet has chosen to send ~0.16 meals per starving Palestinian in a desperate attempt for any positive PR, while they also continue to arm the Israelis who murder those Gazans when they try to collect aid. By contrast a relatively small US NGO like Anera delivers ~150,000 meals daily; approximately four times the amount of aid dropped by the mighty US air force.
Meanwhile, vice president Kamala Harris (aka Madam Kamalamadingdong) took time to call for a six week temporary ceasefire, which seems like an oddly specific amount of time. In fact, it’s just enough time to get most of the upcoming democratic primaries out of the way. These next six weeks will be critical for the democrats trying to rally voters, so what Kamala is asking for isn’t actually a ceasefire, it’s just a pause in the genocide, just long enough for Biden to appear sympathetic. It’s all about the appearance of humanity for these bozos. But what exactly is the purpose of voting when it’s clear our public opinion has no impact on the decisions of our elected officials? If there’s one thing that’s been made clear over the past 150 days, it’s that the preferences of the average American appear to have a statistically insignificant impact on public policy.
The guerrilla moves among the people
as a fish swims through water
i sit by the river
i condemn the fish.
i condemn the water.
-Liberal Poem for Palestine by Noah Mazer
The stories of Palestinian parents losing children and the footage of children in Gaza without parents continues to pile up. With every passing day the genocide becomes more intolerable, more inexplicably violent and the western liberal excuses for it become ever thinner and more pathetic. With the holy month of Ramadan starting next week, the people of Gaza and Palestine as a whole will be facing their toughest test to date.
Side Items
Rap Game’s Epstein: So it turns out all those sketchy and predatory rumors about Sean Combs aka Diddy or Puffy or whatever the hell he’s choosing to go by these days are very likely based in truth. A new lawsuit from a music producer named Lil Rod Jones includes allegations of violence, intimidation, and multiple instances of sexual assault by the rap mogul. Perhaps 2024 will be the year of justice for Puffy, only time will tell
LeBron’s Unbreakable Record: There aren’t many truly unbreakable records in the sports world, but LeBron James continues to etch his name in history, passing the 40,000 point mark in a loss to the Denver Nuggets last week. Before LeBron, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record for points stood for 39 years, but it’s very likely that the 40,000 point mark eclipsed by James will never be reached again. The man has been dominating professional basketball since I was ~12 years old, at some point all you can do is shake your head and salute unprecedented excellence
Welcome back, stronger and better ❤️❤️
