Democratic senators and congress folk continue reliving the past as they make a point to cover the January 6 Duck Dynasty cosplay rally in excruciating detail. At this point I’m not sure who exactly is still paying attention, but the suits in the room are fighting their hardest every day to get a juicy lil soundbite that can be useful next election season.
Every day it feels more like January 6 was the first time any of these politicians actually felt threatened by the people they claim to represent. For so many in power it seemed like their first indication that their jobs aren’t just glamorous photo ops, that the decisions they make every day have enormous impact on our daily lives. I’m certainly not defending the idiots who terrorized DC on January 6, I’m simply saying that politicians would be wise to get a better understanding of people’s desperation.
Partisanship won’t save us either, Roe V Wade was on its way out for well over a decade, despite Democrats being in power for most of that time. Blaming Republican lawmakers is easy, but for some, finding out that your favorite lawmaker is equally responsible is less easy. Moral of the story, don’t trust these hoe ass politicians. Not one of them.
