Monday, November 6: Ruthless Efficiency
In 30 days Israel has killed more civilians in Gaza than Russia has in its entire war in Ukraine, which began over 600 days ago. The apartheid state celebrated this milestone as only they could, by bombing the pediatric cancer unit of a Palestinian hospital last night.
The occupying Israeli forces have also arrested Ahed Tamimi, a prominent 22-year-old Palestinian activist yesterday for “inciting terrorism”. You might remember Tamimi from a famous image of her threatening an Israeli soldier as a literal child. The Israeli military announced her arrest earlier today following yet another round of overnight raids in the occupied West Bank.
While the bombs continue to drop and civilians continue dying and disappearing at unimaginable rates, mainstream news outlets in the west continue to demonstrate an inability to state the obvious. The headline of this New York Times article says it all: “Explosion Gazans Say Was Airstrike Leaves Many Casualties in Dense Neighborhood”. The headline could’ve and should’ve read, “Besieged Gazan Neighborhood Bombed to Smithereens by Israel”, but then I guess we’d be assigning blame. The rag of an outlet is also keeping busy running articles like this, about an old American Jewish couple concerned about getting a refund for their scheduled cruise trip to the Middle East. Nice to see the NYT has lent its coverage to the real victims of this tragedy.
Saying the quiet part out loud, CNN’s correspondent Fareed Zakaria (a generational hack), shared that, "As a condition to enter Gaza under IDF air support, outlets have to submit all materials and footage to the Israeli military for review prior to publication. CNN has agreed to these terms." CNN is actively running cover and sharing propaganda that has been previously reviewed and approved by the military carrying out the genocide. They’ve openly admitted that they've completely abandoned journalistic independence and are acting as a shameless mouthpiece for the Israeli government. So much for objectivity I guess. The apartheid state is carefully curating and selecting the news/footage that we see and they’re still losing the global PR battle to Palestinian journalists tweeting straight from their phones.
Democrats in power already allowed the potential for any meaningful police reform to wither and die by solely focusing on the slogan “defund the police” and not at all on the substance of the issue. Now the bozos in office will attempt to endorse a genocide by focusing exclusively on the political correctness of a slogan like “from the river to the sea”. Classic obfuscation. They’ll happily debate slogans while Palestinians are burying their children in mass graves.
The 2024 presidential election is now less than a year away (364 days for those keeping track), and our two frontrunning candidates are a cognitively-limited genocide enthusiast and an orange double-digit IQ rapist. In a country of over 330 million people our two main options are these pathetic jackasses. What a sad and absurd reality to occupy. This is what I mean when I say the empire is in rapid decline: near-infinite resources to improve our lives and the world as a whole, yet we’re stuck with two deathbed losers with absolutely nothing to offer.
In a truly just world, any politician who supports this genocide would be driven out of office and out of public life, exiled as the disgraceful amoral cowards they are. Sadly, in the world we live in, those who oppose this massacre are being demonized as hateful and dangerous extremists. I understand if someone is going to be a single-issue voter, I reckon “not doing a genocide” is a pretty reasonable single issue to rally behind.

Biden in Chicago: The leader of the free world will allegedly be stopping by the Windy City later this week. The travel details haven’t been released publicly yet, but his visit will almost definitely spark a protest, and I’ve already got all my finest sandals organized for throwing. The fossil of a president won’t leave this city without being made aware of his ongoing complicity in ethnic cleansing
