Monday, January 22: The Decline of Western Journalism
Those two-day weekends just don't hit like they used to
Every single day the New York Times finds a way to challenge me personally by printing some of the most bizarre and absurd trash imaginable and calling it journalism. At this point I feel almost specifically targeted by these ridiculous pieces, as they do nothing but fuel my rage and get channeled into more clicks or views for a garbage writer.
The headline for their latest head-scratcher is “The Decline of Deaths in Gaza”, which, right off the bat, you know it’s gonna be a legendary stinker. The article goes on to describe how the death rate in Gaza has fallen over the past month, and how this must be some indication of a change in the genocidal strategy of an apartheid state. Keep in mind this is being published more than three months into a genocide, on the same day that at least 190 people were reported killed and 340 wounded in Gaza. The western propaganda defending Israel can’t wait until there’s a lull in the killing, because that would imply that a lull is eventually expected.
For the sake of clarity, the death toll in Gaza hasn’t fallen because of any change in Israel’s war strategy. If there’s been one constant through all the carnage, it’s Israel's brutal bombardment and endless murder of thousands of innocent people. I would venture to guess that any decline in death rate has more to do with the forced expulsion of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes. By forcing all these people to evacuate to neighborhoods in the south, the bombing can continue with fewer casualties. Of course, not everyone can evacuate, so some casualties will still result. And of course sometimes the bombs might also drop on the neighborhoods these people evacuated to, so I guess there’s really no guarantee of safety.
As the New York Times publishes its puff pieces excusing the killing of Palestinians, there are current reports out of Khan Younis that doctors are being targeted and that entire families are being wiped out. So perhaps the death toll isn’t declining in Gaza after all, it’s too soon to say.
Side Items
Ron Voyage: Farewell to the sweet pudding prince, the Floridian fascist, the gutter troll representing the Gator nation himself, Ron DeSantis finally dropped out of the presidential race yesterday, proving the haters and doubters absolutely correct. The pathetic man spent ~$200M and all he managed to accomplish was broadcasting to the whole world that he wears lifts in his boots to seem taller and sometimes consumes pudding with his fingers. Although we hardly got the opportunity to bully poor Ronald, I still hope a gator eats him
Germans Take a Stand: Hundreds of thousands of people turned out across Germany to protest against the far-right yesterday. So many people pulled up to protest in Munich that they had to end the rally early due to safety concerns. The demonstrations came in the wake of a report that right-wing extremists recently met to discuss the possible deportation of millions of immigrants, including some who hold German citizenship. The political situation in Germany appears to be slowly unraveling, and the genocide in Gaza only further contributes to the contradiction. German elites are now keeping busy redefining what qualifies as antisemitism so they can somehow turn the tables and play the victims
Elon Stops by Poland: The world’s wealthiest antisemite visited the site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Nazi death camp from World War II earlier today. Musk has come under fire occasionally for reposting and sharing antisemitic conspiracy theories and obviously for blatantly allowing hate speech to flourish on his social media platform. But don’t worry friends, I’m quite certain he gained much insight and enlightenment from his visit and will eventually see the error in his ways…
