Friday, November 10: Nothing Humanitarian
If God promised you this land, why are you destroying it?
Let’s be honest for a minute.
There is nothing humanitarian about 20 hours of bombing a day. There is nothing humanitarian about ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, or forced exile. There is nothing humanitarian about a pause during which your only two options are to either leave your home forever, or die. Don’t let Biden and his vague language confuse you, there is nothing humanitarian about what’s taking place in Gaza right now.
The reason western politicians prefer the language of a “humanitarian pause” over a ceasefire is because, when the time comes, it’s important that the headlines read that “Israel resumed its operations” as if it’s business as usual, rather than “Israel violated the ceasefire”. There is no intention to stop the bloodshed. This is genocide with no end in sight.
In just three weeks, the apartheid state of Israel went from denying that they would ever bomb a hospital to openly surrounding several hospitals in Gaza with tanks and forcing thousands of people sheltering there to flee south. Just last night while we slept, the Israeli military bombed Al-Quds, Al Rantissi, and Nasser Children’s hospitals among others. Read that again, they’re targeting and bombing children’s hospitals. But it seems all the outrage from western media has already been dispensed, now these atrocities are simply matter of fact. Al-Shifa hospital, the largest in Gaza, was targeted by an American-made R9X Hellfire missile, a particularly sadistic weapon that doesn’t explode on impact, but instead shoots out blades that rotate at high speeds to sever limbs and organs. The footage from these bombings is horrific (NSFW Warning, this link features video of a Palestinian man who has his leg severed by the missile). That such a weapon even exists should be considered a stain on humanity.
Speaking of stains on humanity, the dusty skeleton himself Joe Biden visited Chicago yesterday, predictably begging for votes like some sort of desperate fossil. His visit was enough to get thousands of people out into the streets protesting for an immediate ceasefire, chanting “Genocide Joe”. The atmosphere at this protest, which changed location an hour prior to kicking off, was different from other protests I’ve attended in the past month. People are clearly frustrated and disappointed beyond words.
Even French president Emmanuel Macron said this week that the world should work towards a cease-fire in Gaza, which is both surprising and slightly horrifying. Do you realize how far you have to go in colonizing and killing Arabs for FRANCE to step in and tell you to stop? Those cowards love colonizing Arabs almost as much as they love their wine and cheese.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights admitted that Israel is indeed committing war crimes: "The collective punishment by Israel of Palestinian civilians is also a war crime, as is unlawful forcible evacuation of civilians". The UN human rights chief said Gaza is a "living nightmare", where Palestinians “have been suffocating, under persistent bombardment, mourning their families, struggling for water, for food, for electricity and fuel”. But I’m learning none of this truly means anything, because the only people with the ability to actually stop the bloodshed are outright refusing to do so. Yesterday when Biden was asked what the chances are of a ceasefire in Gaza, the old clown responded, “None. No possibility.”
HonestReporting, a dishonest Israeli media organization which describes itself as ‘devoted to fighting disinformation about Israel and Zionism’, suggested earlier this week that freelance photographers who took pictures in Gaza on October 7 might have known about the attack in advance. Not only is this an idiotic mindset with no evidence to support it, it also gives the murderous Israeli regime the green-light to target more journalists in their campaign against Gazans. As if they needed a reason.
The apartheid state is so desperate for decent PR that Hillary Clinton took a break from whatever she was doing (probably chastising minorities and munching on the bones of young children) to weigh in. Clinton hopped on The View yesterday to remind Americans watching daytime TV just how “complex” the situation is and how Palestinians actually deserve to be genocided. If I say what I really want to say in response I’ll probably be put on a watchlist, so instead I’ll sign off today by reminding you all that any elected officials and public figures that endorse genocide deserve no peace in their daily lives. What happens after they die and where they spend eternity is between them and God, but while they’re here, we can and should do everything in our power to make their lives miserable.
