The news story that has dominated headlines all week is the discovery of classified documents from way back in the Obama administration found improperly stored in locations associated with president Biden. Now, does anyone really care if there were 7 year old “classified” papers relating to Ukraine or China sitting in a file cabinet in an office in Delaware? Apparently they do. And apparently this grievous oversight is enough to warrant the involvement of a special counsel. What makes this counsel so special is beyond me.
Understanding that we just did this long-winded song and dance with Trump a few months ago when his treasure trove of secret documents was uncovered down in Florida, do we really need to get into the details of how sensitive each document was? Perhaps I’m speaking out of ignorance, but it feels like there are more important issues to focus on. Like the storms, or the floods, or the endless deluge of police violence.

Egg-cellent Aim: A 21-year-old man in England has admitted to throwing an egg towards King Charles during his walkabout in Luton because he thought the monarch’s visit was in “bad taste”. Harry May pleaded guilty at Westminster magistrates court to a public order offense relating to the incident on December 6th. Police detained May after seeing him hurl an unidentified projectile towards the king that landed near the monarch. When interviewed by officers, May told them he had thrown the egg “because he believed the king visiting a town like Luton, which is a deprived and poor area, was in bad taste and he wanted to make a point of this”. Can we get a mutual aid fund started for this young revolutionary?
